The Doffer Boys

As the last St Blaise procession winds its way by torchlight through the sleepy Yorkshire valley, life will never be the same again. Living in 1830's England Tom and Billy are resourceful fourteen year olds, looking for the right opportunities and if it takes an omission of the truth, or to be involved in murder then that's where you will find them. Billy has ideas, ideas which will draw Tom into the dark world of the swing riot gangs and grave minders. The buildings are burning with Tom left alone fighting for his life, with Billy in jail captured by the peelers and a hanging should be the only way out................
